Sun Araw / Predator Vision split 12" |

Beat RE5 last week, forgot to mention it. Sitting the dark listening to Sun Araw's Hey Mandala. I often wonder how smart / stupid I am in the grand scheme of things. When I read the replies on the Tim's Law petition, I can't help but feel pretty good about myself.
Michele had this to say: "This is Rediculas that it take one whole completley innocent family in Friends group to have a petition wrote up So "mabye" This jack ass will Pay for what he Did. It is your Responsiblity as a community member to take care of yourself. There HAd to have been warning signs that this man was capabule of such an act. There was signs.. if he was soo insaine. Help should be givin behind bars with nothing else."
So many of them are quick to bring up the "you do the crime, you do the time" cliché. But really, is this at all a valid attack on a murderer? And by phrasing it as a question, I mean that no, it obviously isn't. Let's see each one of those people "do the time" for every illegal thing they've ever done. Let Vincent Li throw the first stone. I suppose he did. I don't know how these people expect to change Canadian law when they can't even spell properly. They come off as a pack of bloodthirsty, barely literate rednecks. It's embarrassing. Fucking North Americans and our sense of entitlement.
Enjoy the tome of the enlightened here: http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/timslaw/signatures.html
Saw Aceta, Amuse and Velodrome tonight. Someone farted right in front of me and then ran away. What the FUCK.
Watched Metropolis (8/10) the other night. I watched it once with Matty years ago, but I'm pretty sure I slept through half of it, because it was like watching new movie altogether.
Watched A Scanner Darkly (7.5) tonight with G. I'd seen it once when it came out, and she hadn't seen it before. It's weird how people can make such different types of movies with Philip K Dick's book. Total Recall comes to mind. "Twooooo Weeeeekssss," women with three breasts, Quato and so on and so forth.
Oh yeah! I finally got into Consumer Behavior this spring session at the dub. Hype!

I figure I had to address this sooner or later, and what better a time than when I should be studying.. This journal has been friends-only-fied. If you'd like to read about my goings on, please comment "Open Sesame!" or you know, anything really... And you shall be granted access to my treasure trove (wow that sounds kind of dirty) of rants, incoherent rambles, and rockgeekspeak.
